Overview:

Introduction:

Occupational safety and health systems include standards that all aim to protect production elements, foremost of which is the human element in the organization, from exposure to accidents and injuries during work. Business organizations pay special attention to safety and occupational health systems and work on strategies to manage human resources accordingly. The safety of that workforce is of great importance, and it must be given priority when talking about any matter related to work or production.

Unit 1:

  • General introduction to OSHA and construction standards
  • Means of escape - electrical hazards.
  • The system of isolating power from the equipment and placing signs on it.
  • Locations classified as hazardous – and barriers and protection for equipment.

Unit 2:

  • Occupational health - diseases related to blood.:
  • Prevention and protection from the risk of falling - scaffolding and ladders.
  • Personal protective equipment. Respiratory protection programme.
  • Manual equipment and machinery - excavation work.

Unit 3:

  • The use of explosive materials in construction operations.
  • Fire fighting - extinguishers - classification.
  • Materials used in extinguishing fires.

Unit 4:

  • Modern alarm systems for fires.:
  • Automatic fire extinguishing systems.
  • Communicate information about hazardous chemicals.
  • Ergonomics - welding and cutting works.

Unit 5:

  • Radiation safety - flammable / combustible materials.:
  • Cranes, excavators, cranes, elevators and conveyor belts.
  • Applications, models and practical cases.
  • Workshop.
