Introduction:

Well intervention pressure control is essential to maintaining well integrity, preventing uncontrolled pressure releases, and safeguarding personnel, equipment, and the environment throughout oilfield intervention operations. Advanced well intervention management requires comprehensive knowledge of well barrier principles, pressure behavior, intervention equipment, operational risk factors, and supervisory responsibilities under complex well conditions. This training program examines the technical and supervisory requirements of IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control Level 4, with emphasis on pressure control principles, well barrier management, intervention equipment, and operational pressure control considerations. It also explores well control complications, contingency management, equipment limitations, and supervisory decision making responsibilities associated with maintaining well integrity during intervention activities.

Program Objectives:

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

Analyze well pressure behavior, barrier principles, and well integrity requirements governing intervention operations.
Evaluate pressure control equipment configurations, operating limitations, and intervention-specific safety requirements.
Explore pressure control considerations associated with wireline, coiled tubing, and snubbing operations.
Assess well control complications, abnormal pressure conditions, and contingency management principles.
Examine supervisory responsibilities, operational risk controls, and pressure control assurance requirements.
