Introduction:

Power plant operations and maintenance represent an institutional discipline governing how electricity generation assets are structured, controlled, and sustained to ensure reliability, efficiency, and long-term system stability. Their role extends to coordinating complex mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems within continuous production environments subject to strict safety and performance requirements. This training program presents operational architecture models, maintenance governance frameworks, equipment system structures, and performance monitoring mechanisms applied in modern power generation facilities. It provides a general institutional perspective on how structured operations and maintenance systems support energy security, asset longevity, and operational continuity.

Program Objectives:

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

Analyze operational system structures within steam, gas, and combined-cycle power plants.
Classify major equipment categories and their functional interdependencies in power generation facilities.
Evaluate maintenance governance frameworks applied to critical generation assets.
Assess performance monitoring and reliability control models in plant operations.
Explore asset management structures supporting long term power plant sustainability.
