Overview

Introduction:

Effective project management depends on the integration of scope definition, scheduling, resource planning, and performance control to achieve project objectives within established time and cost constraints. Project planning and control systems provide structured approaches to managing project deliverables, estimating resource requirements, monitoring progress, and identifying deviations from approved baselines. This training program examines project scope management, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), scheduling methodologies, Critical Path Method (CPM), resource estimation, cost planning, and integrated project control systems. It also explores Earned Value Management (EVM), schedule and cost variance analysis, performance forecasting, and project recovery frameworks that support informed decision making and project delivery effectiveness.

Program Objectives:

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Analyze project planning principles, scope definition requirements, and Work Breakdown Structure components.

  • Evaluate project scheduling methodologies, critical path analysis, and schedule risk considerations.

  • Assess resource estimation, cost planning, and project budgeting structures.

  • Examine integrated project control systems, Earned Value Management, and performance monitoring indicators.

  • Determine project recovery requirements through schedule and cost variance analysis and performance forecasting.

Targeted Audience:

  • Project Managers and Project Coordinators.

  • Project Planning and Scheduling Engineers.

  • Project Controls and Cost Control Professionals.

  • Construction and Engineering Project Supervisors.

  • Project Management Office (PMO) Professionals.
